Ribbing above the ankle insures a proper fit and helps prevent unwanted slide-down within your boots. Reinforced heel and toe for iron clad strength. The elastic support around the arch provides a form fit around your mid-foot. Ring toe construction for a comfortable invisible seam. The generous sizing simply means that the calf stretches 1” more than a traditional sock fit, allowing for a wider range of fit.
